1. Who we are
iDealsHunt operates at idealshunt.vercel.app. We are an AI-powered deals aggregation portal that surfaces discounted products from across the web. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information.
2. Information we collect
We collect your email address when you sign in to My Vault via magic-link, and search queries you type into Direct Hunt or the homepage. We also collect standard server logs (IP, browser type, pages visited) and anonymous usage analytics via Vercel. Session cookies are set by Supabase when you are signed in.
3. How we use it
To authenticate you and maintain your session; to save your bookmarked deals; to process Direct Hunt searches via Claude (Anthropic's AI); to improve our deal scoring; and to send magic-link emails you request. We do not send marketing emails without your consent.
4. Affiliate links
Many deals link to retailers through affiliate programmes including Amazon Associates. When you click a link, the retailer may set their own cookies per their own privacy policy. We may earn a small commission at no cost to you — this never influences which deals are surfaced.
5. Data storage
Your data is stored in Supabase (managed PostgreSQL on AWS). Data is encrypted at rest and in transit. Row Level Security ensures you can only access your own saved deals.
6. Data retention
We keep your account data while your account is active. To request deletion, contact us and we'll remove your account and all associated data within 30 days.
7. Children
iDealsHunt is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children. Contact us to request removal if applicable.
8. Third-party services
We use Vercel (hosting), Supabase (database and auth), Anthropic Claude (AI scoring and search), and Amazon Associates (affiliate programme). Each has their own privacy policy.
9. Your rights
Depending on your location you may have rights under GDPR, CCPA, or other laws to access, correct, or delete your data. Contact us via our contact page and we will respond within 30 days.
10. Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. Continued use of iDealsHunt after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
